Carolina

Carolina, whose Shipibo name is Ronan Metsa, is the founder of Sowa Nete alongside Mario. 

Born in Madrid, Spain, Carolina moved to Germany with her family at the age of 12. The transition was challenging and led her to search for ways to reconnect with herself. Through dance, movement, and later yoga, she discovered practices that brought greater awareness, balance, and resilience into her life.

Years of travel through Australia and Southeast Asia deepened her path of self-discovery and eventually led her to become a certified Yoga Teacher. Yet it was her first encounter with plant medicine that opened the door to a much deeper exploration.

Following this calling, Carolina traveled to the Peruvian Amazon, where she immersed herself in Shipibo traditions, master plant dietas, and ceremonial work. Living and learning in the jungle allowed her to confront old wounds, deepen her connection with herself, and experience the transformative wisdom of the plant world.

These experiences became the foundation for the vision that would later inspire the creation of Sowa Nete.
