Carolina

Facilitator & Founder

Carolina, whose Shipibo name is Ronan Metsa, is the founder of Sowa Nete alongside Mario. She was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, and moved to Germany at the age of 12. The transition was deeply challenging, and she went through periods of depression. Dance and gymnastics became her first tools for healing, helping her to process emotions and connect with her body.

At 18, Carolina traveled to Australia, where her awakening journey truly began. During 15 months of traveling and working across Australia and Southeast Asia, she discovered yoga—a practice that opened the door to self-awareness and inner transformation. This path eventually led her to become a certified Yoga Teacher in 2020, specializing in Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga.

With a background in Business Administration, Carolina always carried the vision of creating a retreat center where yoga and other healing modalities support people in reconnecting with themselves and feeling more balanced.

Her first encounter with plant medicine came in Mexico, during a Bufo Alvarius ceremony, which awakened a deep calling to learn more. This calling led her to Peru in 2022, where she and Mario immersed themselves in the Shipibo traditions, master plant dietas, and Ayahuasca ceremonies. Living in the jungle for months, Carolina faced hidden emotions and childhood wounds, allowing profound healing and transformation to unfold.

Guided by Ayahuasca and supported by Mario, she received the vision to create Sowa Nete. Today, she co-facilitates ceremonies with Mario, offering her presence, care, and devotion to the healing process of others. She also leads yoga, meditation, breathwork, and Reiki sessions, and oversees the administration and organization of Sowa Nete.

Costa Rica is now her home, where she continues to grow as a healer and facilitator. She is currently studying Chinese Medicine, expanding her understanding of ancient healing systems and the deep connection between body, mind, and soul.
